New diaphragm material which raises the resolution of sound.

The thin film of super engineering plastics has been adopted for the diaphragm as a new material. Since an electrostatic type headphone can drive the whole diaphragm surface uniformly, the design concept that gives priority to the exact response to signals over rigidity was possible in its development. After having repeated the trial production and the audition of many diaphragms of different kind and thickness, we adopted the super engineering plastics to obtain high-grade sound suitable for the highest peak model of Λ (lambda) series featuring high-definition tone quality throughout the entire range from rich low-frequencies to delicate high frequencies, and further to secure the high stability against environmental changes of temperature, humidity, etc.

The SRS-3170 is a standard combination system of the SR-307 with the sound element featuring the same new material "super engineering plastics" diaphragm as upper models and the SRM-323S solid-state DC amplifier with all-stage direct-coupled balance output circuit configuration.

The basic system is a high cost-performance combination of SR-207 and SRM-252S compact-size driver unit still keeping the high-quality sound and high performance of the electrostatic earspeaker.

The SR-003 is a 5-pin PRO bias type in-the-ear earspeaker, and can be used by connecting to a driver unit having 5-pin PRO bias output socket. Also, the inner type structure of the SR-003 enables you to enjoy excellent electrostatic sound readily without covering your ears. The SR-003 connects to STAX driver units or adapters equipped with 5-pin type PRO bias output.
